School Board Announcement
MAPS Regular School Board Meeting of October 19, 2020 at 5:30 pm
Pursuant to Senate Bill No. 1108 and due to a risk of the personal health or safety of members of the public or the public body if the meeting were held in person, the October 19th Marquette Area Public School Regular School Board meeting will be held virtually through Zoom video conferencing at 5:30 pm with Board Members and Staff attending the electronic meeting in the same location.
This meeting will be livestreamed on the Marquette Area Public Schools YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkNSZZ3Du1sXQUUyA0hGsHg). Please note that the YouTube livestream will have at least a 20 second delay.
Public Participation
There will be two options for public comments during the meeting: video conferencing or written comment. Comments will be limited to five minutes and speakers are asked to give their name and address. Written comments will be limited to 750 words.
Members of the public wishing to make a video comment will need to visit https://zoom.us/j/9307236919?pwd=TEgyRkliS1dQRU5qT3dtNGdVZmpqQT09 on a computer or smart device that has a camera. Meeting ID: 930 723 6919. The password is password.
Written comments can be submitted directly to [email protected] and will be accepted until 4:00 pm on Friday, October 16, 2020.
When participating via video conferencing, you will be placed into a virtual lobby/on-hold until the Public Comment portion of the meeting is reached. Once Public Comment begins, the Chair will go through each person waiting in the lobby one at a time and provide them with the opportunity to address the Board. It is recommended that participants follow the meeting on YouTube to know when the Public Comment portion is occurring and be ready to make their comment.
The video conference lobby will open at 5:20 p.m. on October 19, 2020.
