Dear MAPS Families,

Earlier this week, the USDA approved free meals to MAPS students until the end of the school year, June 2021.  MAPS Families will not be charged for breakfast or lunch.  However, please continue to complete free and reduced meal applications as our district funding is tied to them.

We are proud to report that we have served our 100,000th free meal since March. The food service staff have been incredible, and understand the wonderful service they are providing to our students.

MAPS food service does provide separate ala carte options for the district’s students. The most popular ala carte option is milk. Milk is included with the free breakfast and lunch, but needs to be charged to the food service account if purchased separately.  The cost is .65 cents per carton.

MAPS received some great news. Our food service program is able to function under new guidelines allowing all students to receive free breakfast and lunch through December 31st of this year or until funding runs out. No need to deposit funds for meals for the foreseeable future!!!

Just a reminder, we still receive other sources of funding based on our percentage of free and reduced eligible applications. Please, please fill out these confidential forms so MAPS can receive vital funds for At Risk students, Title services and other programs.

I hope all students take advantage of this opportunity.
